Farmyard Stage

Enjoy our Full Circle Farm exhibit, featuring rare and endangered breeds, and check out exhibitors from around the state who will introduce you to the valuable agriculture of Rhode Island through handouts, displays, demonstrations, activities and more!  The event will also focus on how to enjoy local agriculture and what we can do to help.

Activities run 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. unless otherwise noted
and are free with regular zoo admission

Friday, July 11

- Down-home entertainment on the Farmyard Porch:
          11 - 12, Music by Cowboy Bob
          12 - 12:15, Wild Bunch Farm Story
          12:30 - 1, Music by Cowboy Bob
          1 - 1:15, Wild Bunch Farm Story
          1:30 - 2, Music by Cowboy Bob
          2 - 2:15, Wild Bunch Farm Story
          2:30 - 3, Music by Cowboy Bob

- Make a "chicken clucker" with the Millennium Library Club and the 4-H Teen Council

- Milk samples from Rhody Fresh

- Composting demonstrations by the URI Master Composters & Recyclers

- Gardening demonstrations by the URI Master Gardeners

- Life-sized replicas of agricultural world record holders, such as the world's largest corn cob, smallest horse and heaviest apple
